15-Minute Ab and Core Workout at Home: No Equipment Needed

Your core isn't just your "six-pack": it's the group of muscles that stabilizes your torso when you run, lift weights or carry groceries. This 15-minute workout trains it from every angle (front, sides and rotation) with no equipment, just the floor. You can do it 3 or 4 times a week, on its own or at the end of another workout.

Tips to make it work

Core exercises don't burn belly fat in one specific spot. What they do build is a stronger, more stable torso, which helps in your other workouts and in everyday life. Pair this workout with strength training and some cardio throughout the week.

Frequently asked questions

Will this workout help me lose belly fat?

Not on its own. You can't burn fat from just one area. Diet, daily activity and your overall training matter most for losing belly fat; this workout strengthens your core.

Can I do ab workouts every day?

You can, but 3-4 times a week is enough for most people. Take a day off if your abs feel sore.

Which is better, planks or crunches?

They complement each other. Planks train torso stability and crunches train flexion. This workout combines both types of exercise.

Do I need a mat?

It's not essential, but on a hard floor it makes planks, dead bugs and Russian twists more comfortable.
