How to do the alternating heel touch step by step

  1. Lie down with your knees bent and feet apart on the floor.
  2. Lift your shoulders slightly and reach your right hand to your right heel.
  3. Return to center and repeat on the other side.

Form cues

  • Shoulders off the floor the whole time
  • Side-to-side movement from your torso

Common mistakes

  • Resting your head between reps
  • Moving only your arms

3 x 8-15 or 20-45 s

3-4 sets of 20-45 seconds or 8-12 slow reps. Rest 45 to 60 seconds.
