The Domyos Smart Bench is Decathlon's big new home gym launch: an adjustable bench that stores two 3-32 kg adjustable dumbbells, an adjustable kettlebell and a mat. It costs €1,299.99 and is on pre-order: available November 29, with home delivery from December 8. There are no customer reviews yet, so this review is based on the official spec sheet and on comparing the price with building a setup piece by piece. Prices from Spanish/European stores on October 5, 2026.

What's included with the Smart Bench

A bench that arrives assembled, with a 5-position backrest (0°, 30°, 45°, 60° and 80°) and a 2-position seat (0° and 15°). It has a built-in fitness mat and mounts to store all the gear on the bench itself.

Two adjustable dumbbells from 3 to 32 kg and an adjustable 12-24 kg kettlebell with six 2 kg plates. You also get 12 months of Freeletics (app coaching), a 5-year warranty and 60-day returns.

It ships in 4 boxes. In-store pickup is not available.

Who it's for (and who it isn't)

For a family or a person who wants a complete home gym without worrying about compatibility, with everything stored in one piece of furniture that looks fine in a living room.

It's not for users over 100 kg (220 lb): the bench holds 300 kg total, but only 100 kg of user weight. It's also not for barbell training: no bar supports, leg roller, preacher curl or dip bars.

Footprint and the weight discrepancy in the listing

It measures 119 cm long, 38 cm wide and 47 cm high (47 x 15 x 18.5 in). Plan on about 2 x 1.5 m (6.5 x 5 ft) of free space to use it: lying down with dumbbells out to the sides takes room. It has wheels and a handle so one person can move it, but it doesn't fold.

Decathlon's listing gives two different weights: the description says 48.6 kg and the spec table says 138 kg. Most likely 48.6 kg is the bench alone and 138 kg is the full pack with dumbbells and kettlebell. Either way, fully loaded it's a very heavy piece of furniture: make sure your floor and elevator can handle it.

Pack vs. separate pieces: pros and cons

Piece by piece, BRAINGAIN 24 kg dumbbells (€229), Decathlon's adjustable kettlebell (€79.99, 12 kg base only) and a mat (€9.99) add up to €318.98. That leaves about €980 for a bench and the extra kettlebell plates. If you want 32 kg per dumbbell like the Smart Bench, the LULLAX NEO32 costs €410 a pair.

Pros of the pack: everything fits together, stores inside the bench, arrives assembled, has one 5-year warranty and takes up less room than a bench plus a dumbbell rack.

Pros of separate pieces: it's much cheaper, you can pick a bench rated for users over 100 kg or with bar supports, and if something breaks you replace only that piece.

Verdict

The Domyos Smart Bench is the most convenient home gym Decathlon sells: everything fits, it arrives assembled and stores in one piece of furniture with a 5-year warranty. But €1,299.99 is a lot: piece by piece you get dumbbells, a kettlebell and a mat for about €320, with plenty left for a good bench. It's worth it if you value tidiness, design and simplicity. If you weigh over 100 kg (220 lb) or want to train with a barbell, go piece by piece. Remember it's on pre-order until November 29.

Frequently asked questions

It's on pre-order at Decathlon. It will be available November 29, and home delivery starts December 8. In-store pickup isn't offered.

How much does the Decathlon Smart Bench weigh?

The listing gives two numbers: 48.6 kg in the description and 138 kg in the specs. Most likely the first is the bench alone and the second is the full pack with the weights.

If you want everything in one piece of furniture, with no assembly and a 5-year warranty, yes. If you want the lowest price, building your setup piece by piece is much cheaper.
